Background
Fortis deployed crews and demolitions equipment to assist CSX in a train Derailment in Waycross, Georgia. Crews were deployed within 12-hours of the service call from CSX to meet deadlines and requirements set by client.
Two shifts were implemented to achieve the accelerated schedule.
In total, eight box cars, two flatbed and four tanker cars were removed, demolished, and disposed. Fortis crews worked closely with the CSX Environmental Teams to ensure safety and environmental regulations were closely followed.
